Conference to tackle issues affecting contemporary world
March 20, 2012: To revive the dialogue between believers and non-believers on important
issues which affect the contemporary world, a major conference is being organized
under ‘court of the gentiles’ at Palermo, Italy, on March 29 and 30. The initiative
is promoted by the Pontifical Council for Culture, revealed at a press conference
at the Vatican press office on Tuesday. The two day meeting will focus on the theme
of "culture of legality and multi-religious society."
The ‘Court of the Gentiles’
had already held meetings in Bologna, Paris, Bucharest, Florence, Rome and Tirana.
The crucial challenge is to respond to the culture of dialogue and law, the press
conference revealed.
During the meet there will be sessions of dialogues where
Philosophers, religious, lawyers, historians and intellectuals, will discuss and deliberate
on "the divine law and human justice," Religion and Human Rights, "Pluralism and universalism"
and "Religion and public space."
Finally, an innovation on the web. On 30
