Pontifical Academy for Life General Assembly focuses on infertility
The Pontifical Academy for Life is holding its 18th General Assembly. The
theme for this year is the Diagnosis and Treatment of Infertility. A workshop was
held in the Vatican Friday looking at the causes and management of infertility. “The
news (regarding infertility) is very positive”, says Dr Felice Petraglia who is Professor
and Chair of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Siena.
He told
Lydia O’Kane that “what we would like to start from today is to have a public, to
publicly say to the people, the patients please go and do first some examinations
before to do any other approach because this is respecting our religion."
Participants
of the Assembly will meet Pope Benedict on Saturday. Listen
