A radical Islamic cleric due to be deported from Britain to Jordan has won his appeal
to the European Court of Human Rights. Omar Othman – who also uses the name Abu Qatada
- openly supports jihadist causes and has been branded “truly dangerous” by the courts
in Britain. Nevertheless, the European Court of Human Rights ruled yesterday that,
if Othman were deported to Jordan, he could face trial there based on evidence obtained
