Eyes and ears, hands and hearts

"Educating young people in justice and peace" is the theme of Pope Benedict's Peace Day message for the annual January 1st observance. It contains an appeal to all men and women of goodwill to "feel a common responsiblity towards present and future generations", as we pool our "spiritual, moral and material resources" to build a more just and peaceful world.
Fr Gearoid Francisco O’Conaire is co-secretary of the Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation office for men and women religious here in Rome. He talked with Philippa Hitchen about the themes contained in the Pope's Peace Day message and about the experiences of men and women religious working as justice and peace promotors with young people in countries around the world.....
