Pope Benedict XVI and the Gubbio Christmas tree: leading by example

Pope Benedict XVI lit the world's largest electronic Christmas tree in the Italian town of Gubbio on Wednesday evening – with a tap on his tablet – and all without leaving the Apostolic Palace. An official at the Pontifical Council for Social Communications, Thaddeus Jones told Chris Altieri this is just one of the many ways in which Pope Benedict is leading by example as the Church continues to employ the latest technologies in the service of the Gospel.
