Russia: street protests in Moscow following elections

European observers are citing violations and manipulation of votes in Russia's parliamentary elections, which took place on Sunday, while several thousand people took to the streets of Moscow to protest. With most ballots countered, the Prime Minister Vladimir Putin’s “United Russia” party has lost its constitutional majority in the Duma and received just under 50% of the votes - a sharp drop in support.
