Women in Peace Building from a Jewish, Christian and Muslim perspective: that was
the theme of a colloquium held at Rome’s Lay Centre, marking its 25th anniversary
and the start of a new partnership with the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago.
The December 1st colloquium brought together three prominent scholars working
on peace building and reconciliation in some of the most troubled areas of the word
– Jerusalem, the Balkans and Northern Ireland.

with Donna Orsuto, co-founder of the Lay Centre, and with the three guest speakers
- Muslim professor Aida Abadzic Hodzic from Sarajevo, Jewish peace activist Sarah
Bernstein from Jerusalem and Presbyterian minister Ruth Patterson from Belfast about
the role of faith in the painstaking work of reconciling deeply divided communities.....
