Listening to Handel's Messiah at this time of year is a good way to prepare for Christmas
and reflect on the deeper meaning of the Incarnation, says Monsignor Philip Whitmore,
in his musical comment for the Second Sunday in Advent.
Going on to stress
how the hymns we sing during Advent take the preaching of John the Baptist as a starting-point.
