webpages will give you an idea: some 45 languages that reach the ears, and now with
the internet, the eyes of people across the globe, bringing the voice and the teachings
of the Pope to the four corners.
Recently, Vatican Radio’s Arabic program had
a change of directors, so we spoke to our new colleague, Maronite Father Jean Pierre
Yammine from Zakrit, Lebanon, about his new job.
Fr. Jean Pierre says since
its inception in 1949, Vatican Radio’s Arabic program continues to be a much needed
bridge today between Rome and the Christian minority in the Middle East and North
