Cardinal Gantin : a personal witness
On the morning of Saturday 19th November Pope Benedict XVI who's currently on a three
day visit to Benin travelled to the City Of Ouidah , covering the 43 kilometres
from Cotonou where he'd arrived the previous day by car. There he prayed by the
tomb of the late Cardinal Bernardin Gantin. Veronica Scarisbrick speaks to someone who was ordained by this Benin born cardinal . He's the President of Cotonou's Diocesan Committee for the visit , Father Augustin Placide Houessinon of the Society of African Missions ,who shares with us his personal witness of a man considered one of the Fathers of this West African nation .
