Cardinal Tauran Released Book on Pope John Paul II
November 15, 2011: The Vatican’s leading official for inter-religious dialogue, Cardinal
Jean-Louis Tauran expressed joy and gratitude for the various encounters he had with
leaders and representatives of various religions and with numerous Catholics during
his visit to India. Apostolic Nuncio to India Archbishop Salvatore Pennacchio hosted
a dinner on Sunday, November 13, to felicitate Cardinal Tauran, and the delegation
from the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue at the conclusion of their
weeklong visit to India.
Cardinal Tauran released a book on the occasion titled:
John Paul II A Pilgrim on the Roads of the World, Celebrating 25 Years of the Paradigm
of Assisi by Sr. Dr. Teresa Joseph FMA. Church leaders, representatives of governments
and diplomats attended the function. Earlier in the day, Cardinal Tauran presided
over a concelebrated Eucharist at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, New Delhi.
