Wilfred Owen, soldier and poet


At the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month - on November 11th , 1918 - the First World War came to an end with the signing of the Armistice. In this programme we celebrate all those men and women who served in what was supposed to be the war to end all wars' - those who gave their lives and those who lived to grow old and remember...

We do this by bringing you the words of war time poet Wilfred Owen . soldier and poet , who was killed a week before the Armistice.
