Bishop Patrick Lynch of Southwark is chair of the migration department at the Catholic
bishops conference in England and Wales. He and Cecilia Taylor-Camara, the bishops’
senior advisor on refugee and migration policy, were in the Vatican this week accompanying
two officials from the Metropolitan police department for talks on combating human
trafficking. They spoke with Philippa Hitchen about the vital work of the Church at
