Ecumenical expectations

As preparations continue ahead of Pope Benedict's four day visit to Germany this month, the head of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, Swiss Cardinal Kurt Koch says the journey will be an important moment to deepen the dialogue between the Catholic Church and the country's Protestant Churches. The Swiss Cardinal, who is marking his first year in office as the Vatican's top ecumenical spokesman, will be accompanying the Pope on his September 22nd to 25th visit to Berlin, Etzelsbach, Freiburg and Erfurt, where the young Martin Luther studied and lived in the Augustinian monastery there….
