Pope receives Delegation from the town of Traunstein
(July 30, 2011) At Castel Gandolfo on Saturday evening, Pope Benedict received 300
pilgrims from the town of Traunstein , which is in the south-eastern part of Bavaria,
Germany.. It is situated at the heart of a region called Chiemgau, between Munich
and Salzburg, The town's most famous inhabitant is Pope Benedict XVI, who attended
the priest's seminary there before moving to Munich for his university studies.
