Pope on 60th Jubilee: Christ yesterday, today and forever!
Pope Benedict XVI had lunch with members of the College of Cardinals on Friday to
mark the 60th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood. Following
the festive meal, the Holy Father spoke words of thanks and greeting to those present.
“In these 60 years almost everything has changed,” said Pope Benedict, “but the faithfulness
of the Lord has remained the same: He is the same yesterday, today and forever. And
this is our conviction, that gives us the way forward. [This is] a moment of commemoration,
a moment of gratitude and also a moment of hope: In te speravi, Domine, non comfundar
in aeternum - “In Thee, O Lord, have I hoped, let me never be confounded."Listen
