World Youth Day – Madrid
(June 25.06.2011) Pope Benedict XVI intends to hear the confessions of some participants at the forthcoming World Youth Day in Madrid, due to be held in August next. The Vatican published Saturday an overview of the papal activities at the World Youth Day. The Pope will be arriving in Madrid on Thursday 18th August and will be received by King Juan Carlos. Besides meeting the royal family and governments officials, the Pope will take part in a Way of the Cross at Cibeles square in Madrid. On the 20th he will hear confessions of youth and meet seminarians present at the Youth Day. On the 20th night, Saturday, will be the Prayer Vigil at the Airport Cuatro Vientos and there on Sunday morning he will celebrate the final Mass before departure for Rome the same evening.
