Conference to highlight mother and child nutrition

A high level meeting will take place in Washington on Monday to build political momentum to improve nutrition for women and children in countries suffering from chronic hunger. The gathering hosted by aid organisations Concern Worldwide and Bread for the World is entitled “1,000 Days to Scale Up Nutrition for Mother’s and Children”.

Speaking ahead of the event, Chief Executive of Concern Worldwide, Tom Arnold said if a child is not adequately nourished, it can have “enormous consequences”.

Mr Arnold also told Lydia O’Kane that there are a lot of people working towards this common cause of improved nutrition. Listen RealAudioMP3
