Pope’s missionary prayer intention for June

(June 01, 2011) The missionary prayer intention of Pope Benedict XVI for the month of June is that the Holy Spirit may bring forth from our communities, many missionaries who are ready to be fully consecrated to spreading the Kingdom of God.
As the Feast of Pentecost falls on the 12^th of this month, let us invoke the Holy Spirit in a special way for missionaries that they maybe filled by His light and grace to spread the word of God everywhere. After His Ascension into Heaven, Jesus sent his disciples into the world to preach the Gospel to all people. In keeping with the Pope’s missionary intention for June , let us pray that the Holy Spirit will enlighten many in our communities to respond to God’s call and dedicate themselves to spread through word and deed - the Gospel of Jesus Christ to people all over the world. Let us pray above all that enlightened by the Holy Spirit, they are transformed into the living images of Jesus Christ..
