Pope receives World Family Day Catechesis
(May 14, 2011) The first copy of the 7th World Family Day preparatory catechesis, was
presented to Pope Benedict XVI on Friday, by Cardinal Ennio Antonelli, President of Vatican’s
Pontifical Council for the Family. The event in question is due to be held in Milan, Italy, from 30th
May to 3rd June 2012, at which the presence of the Pontiff is expected. The date of presentation
marked the 30th anniversary of the attempt on the life of Pope Wojtyla (May 13th 1981) a s
also of the creation of the Pontifical Council to promote studies on marriage and the family. The
catechesis will be the guide to the preparation for the world day, spelt out in three section, namely
the family, work and the feast (of the Holy Family of Nazareth) outlining the style of Family Life.
