Commemorating Pope Benedict’s visit to Britain, cooperating with local councils to
help those worst hit by the recession and calling on Catholics to stop eating meat
on Fridays. Those were amongst the priorities on the agenda of the Catholic bishops
of England and Wales who held their regular Spring meeting in the northern city of
Leeds last week. The meeting, which ended on Thursday, was focused on deepening
and developing the vision that Pope Benedict offered during his four day trip to England
