On Good Friday, we commemorate the Passion and Death of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
A
day of fasting and abstinence, Good Friday is an opportunity for the faithful and
for all the world to reflect on the redemptive suffering of Jesus on the Cross.
“When
we experience deprivation, then we can recognize God in the faces of so many of our
brothers and sisters,” says Fr Larry Snyder, President of Catholic Charities USA.
