Vatican Museums open at night for a special occasion


(April 16, 2011) The Vatican has decided to keep Vatican Museums open at night for pilgrim who flock to Rome for the Beatification of Pope John Paul II, considered an event of the century. Accordingly in the evenings from 26th to 29th April inclusive and 2nd May, these museums will be open from 7.00 p.m. to midnight (last entry at 10 p.m.). On the days indicated, all pilgrims who present a letter from their parish, diocese or religious institution will be able to enter the museum for the reduced rate of 8 euros per person. Those wishing to benefit from this initiative and desire more information, particularly regarding the opening hours, must consult the Vatican Museum website.
