Pope’s visit to North East Italy

(April 09, 2011) The definitive program for the Papal visit to the North Eastern Italian cities of Aquileia-Venezia was released by the Vatican on Friday. Pope Benedict XVI will be making this pastoral visit from 7-8 May 2011. The slogan of the visit, addresses the Pope using the familiar Italian pronoun “TU”. It reads “Strengthen our faith, Thou”. It’s an indication of the weakening of the faith in that region, where the Papal visit is seen as very opportune.
