A seminar in Rome this weekend is looking at key ecological issues from a theological
perspective, exploring the ancient biblical symbolism of trees, alongside contemporary
studies on the integrity of creation. The seminar, organised by the Justice and Peace
office of the UISG (International Union of Superiors General), features two guest
speakers, Irish author and professor of environmental science, John Feehan and Columban
missionary Fr Sean McDonagh who is also a well known writer and environmental activist.
Philippa Hitchen sat down with Fr Sean to find out more about the meeting and to look
back at last December's climate change conference in Cancun....
