"Where" is a waterproof, pocket-sized guide book, with an easy-to-read map and an exhaustive list of places in which to find food, a bed for the night and a shower. If for whatever reason you find yourself living on the streets in Rome, or in a handful of other Italian and European cities, you wouldn’t want to be without it, especially in this cold, Christmas weather….
The new edition of what has widely become known as the "Michelin Guide for the Poor” is created by the Rome-based Sant' Egidio Community, and is divided into sections covering the basic needs of the homeless or poor - "Where to Eat", "Where to Sleep", "Where to Wash".
The 215-page guidebook, tells the poor and homeless where they can get free meals -- either at Catholic parishes, at city-run centers or at mobile soup kitchens; it lists volunteer organizations where the homeless can either spend the night or bathe – and comes complete with instructions on how to get there on foot or by public transport.
