Pope’s condolence message for Italy’s seven road victims
(December 08, 2010) Pope Benedict XVI in a condolence message on Tuesday expressed
his deep sorrow and spiritual nearness to the families of the entire community
of Lamezia Terme in Catanzaro, Italy, sorely tried by the loss of their dear ones
killed in a road accident on Sunday morning. The condolence message was sent
in the Pope’s name by Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Tarciscio Bertone. The
Papal message was read by Bishop Luigi Cantafora of Lamezia Terme at Monday’s
funeral Mass of the seven Italian cyclists killed in the road accident .
