(November 8, 2010) The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is clamouring to have an
anti-conversion law passed in the eastern Indian state of Jharkhand. Jaggnath Sahi
the state unit chief of the Pro-Hindu extremist umbrella group told media on Sunday
that he will discuss with pro-Hindu Bharatiya Janata Party Chief Minister Arjun Munda
on the need of formulating such a law. “Conversion in any form should be condemned,’
Sahi told reporters in Jharkhand state capital, Ranchi. He said conversion is banned
in many countries like China, Israel and others and “it is only in India where conversion
is not banned,” he said.
