Thomas Becket


We shine the spoltight on the figure of Thomas -a-Becket, Archbishop of Canterbury, born in London, 1118 and stabbed to death in his cathedral on December 29th, 1170.
The famous quarrel between Thomas and the king, Henry II...provoked the murder and made the martyr. A programme written by Jill Bevilacqua and produced by Sean Patrick Lovett.
