(31 Aug 10 - RV) South Africa's COSATU labour coalition says it will vote later Tuesday
on the government's increase of its wage offer. The government increased its offer
for a wage increase to 7.5 percent from 7 percent and raised its offer for a monthly
housing allowance to 800 rand ($109) from 700 rand. Unions have been demanding 8.6
percent and 1,000 rand. The editor of South Africa’s Southern Cross newspaper, Gunther
