(22 Aug 10 - RV) Floods are threatening to wreak havoc in more areas of south Pakistan
in a catastrophe that has left more than 4 million people homeless. Meanwhile, In
Ireland this weekend a National Church Collection is being held to help aid the people
of Pakistan who have been affected by this disaster. The money raised will go to the
Irish aid agency Trocaire, a member of the Caritas Network which is currently providing
emergency relief in the country. We spoke to Trocaire’s Emergency Manager, Maurice
McQuillan about the persistent flooding and their appeal for funds:
