Conference Considers the Role of Religion in the Public Square

(RV - 15 May 10) This week the Canadian Embassy to the Holy See hosted a meeting here at the Vatican entitled “Religion in the Public Square in Canada.”

One of the participants at the gathering was Canadian Constitutional Lawyer, Iain Benson who is Professor of Law at the University of the Free State in South Africa.

He spoke to Lydia O'Kane about the minimization of religion in the public life.
