Thai Tensions Reveal Split in Opposition

(29 Mar 10 - RV) Thailand's Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajva and his political opponents continued talks today in an effort to defuse a political crisis.


Protesters have been demonstrating in the Thai capital for weeks, calling for the prime minister to step down and hold new elections.


We spoke with Dr. Charles Monthienvichienchai of St. John’s University in Bangkok, who told us more about the political split in the country:
