East Asia's Thirst for Ivory Targets Africa's Elephants


(25 Feb 10 - RV) Customs officials in Thailand last night seized two tons of elephant tusks valued at over 3.6 million dollars, the country’s largest ivory seizure.


The consignment originated in South Africa and was destined for eastern countries.
