Pope Benedict Sends Telegram for Madeira

(23 Feb 10 - RV) Pope Benedict has sent a telegram of condolence following the recent devastating flash floods on the island of Madeira that killed 42 people and caused major damage.

In the message signed by Cardinal Secretary of State, Tarcisio Bertone the Holy Father offers his support and prayers to all those affected by the disaster. He also remembers all those who have been involved in relief operations.
