In Rome, Mass Celebrated for Intentions of Haiti's People

(21 January 10-RV) The United Nations has praised the Dominican Republic, which shares the island of Hispaniola with Haiti, for setting up a humanitarian aid corridor from Santo Domingo to Port-au-Prince. The ambassador to the Holy See from the Dominican Republic, Victor Grimaldi, also organized a Mass earlier today for the intentions of the people of Haiti. He said the Pope’s appeal for the Haiti, in which he emphasized the spiritual comfort of the people, must not be forgotten.
