Pope Calls on Nations to Protect Sacred Identity of Jerusalem

(11 Jan 10 - RV) In his address to the Diplomatic Corps, Pope Benedict also spoke of the Holy land and in particular Jerusalem.

He requested the support of the international community for the protection of the identity and sacred character of City, and of its cultural and religious heritage, which he said is of universal value.


Bishops from Northern Europe and the United States are currently on their annual pilgrimage of support for the Christians of the Holy Land.
