WFP Stops Food Aid in Nepal

(24 Dec 09 - RV) The United Nations’ World Food Programme has been forced to stop feeding over half a million people in Nepal due to a critical funding shortfall caused by the financial downturn.
Bishop Anthony Sharma is the Apostolic Vicar in Nepal. He says that despite severe food shortages in the west of the country, the people of Nepal are looking forward to the celebration of Christmas.
