Canada Changes Carbon Emissions Target

(10 Dec 09 - RV) Shortly before the opening of the Copenhagen climate summit, Canada came under fire for lowering its targets on reducing carbon emissions to match the United States.  It also revealed it had failed to meet its obligations under the 1997 Kyoto Protocol.
