Mexican Clergy Discuss Strategy to Cope with Drug War
(10 Nov 09-RV) Mexico's Catholic clergy, increasingly caught in the middle of the
nation's drug war, are meeting this week to draft a strategy for coping with the violence.
The council plans to release a report later this week with recommendations for priests
and parishioners in drug hotspots. Alejandro Bermudez is the director of Catholic
News Agency. He says clergy will pay the price for speaking out against the increasingly
violent drug trade. .
