(November 6, 2009) Pope Benedict XVI has a heavy schedule in the month of November
during which he will meet nine heads of state and three prime ministers. This was
announced on Friday by the Holy See’s Press Office soon after the Pope’s first meeting
in November with the head of a state – president Nursultan Nazarbayev of Kazhakstan.
The Pope will meet Croatian president Stipe Mesic next Thursday, and the following
day he will meet Hungarian president Gordon Bajnai. Serbian president, Boris Tadic
is scheduled to meet the Pope on Nov. 14. Among other leaders to visit the Vatican
this month are Czech prime minister, Jan Fischer, Chilean president Michelle Bachelet,
Argentinian president Cristina Fernandez Kirchner and Emir Sabah IV Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber
Al-Sabah of Kuwait.
