From Rome to Beijing

(29 Oct 09 - RV) A new exhibit to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the death of the Jesuit missionary Matteo Ricci will opened Friday in the Charlemagne Wing of the Vatican.
Titled “To the Heights of History. Fr Matteo Ricci (1552-1610) between Rome and Beijing,” the exhibit was organised by Prof Antonio Paolucci, director of the Vatican Museums, and will remain open from 30 October to 24 January. Veronica Scarsbrick takes a closer look:
