Pagadian: Church Negotiators for Release of Fr Sinott Warn Against Speculation

(16 Oct 09 - RV)Fr Patrick O’ Donoghue, regional director of the Columban missionaries in the Philippines is cautioning against reports that contact has been made with the gunmen holding 79 year old Fr. Michael Sinott.


Philippine authorities claim that contact was made with rebel Muslims accused of holding the elderly and ill priest who was abducted last Saturday from Pagadian city in Mindanao.


The Islamic group strongly deny their involvement in his abduction.
