Relief Given to Flood Victims in India


(06 Oct 09 - RV) Thousands of troops and relief workers fanned out across southern India today, providing aid to areas devastated by flooding that has left more than 250 people dead and displaced millions more.
We spoke with Jesuit Fr. Maxim Rasquinha, mission superior for the Loyola School in the village of Pannur.
He told us about the local situation, where in just five small villages, dozens have died and thousands are left homeless...
