Wary Ireland Votes in Referendum on EU Reform Treaty
(2 Oct 09 - RV) The people of Ireland are heading to the polls today in a referendum
on the European Union’s reform treaty. Recent opinion polls measure the likely «yes»
vote at around 55 percent _ still too close for the government's comfort. Dr John
Garry is a Senior Lecture in Comparative Political Science at Queen’s University Belfast.
He spoke to us about some of the issues that still concern voters.
