New WCC Secreatary General Not Pessimistic for Future of Ecumenism

(28 August 09 –RV) Norwegian theologian and Lutheran pastor Dr Olav Fykse Tveit, was elected 7th general secretary of the World Council of Churches (WCC). The WCC brings together representatives from Orthodoxs, Anglican, Lutheran and Methodist traditions as well as other protestant denominations.
