Tragedy in Taiwan

(11 Aug 09 - RV) Defence officials said today that more than 700 people are trapped, possibly dead, in two southern Taiwan villages ravaged by mudslides after typhoon Morakot swamped the island.
Meanwhile in a separate tragedy,
A helicopter on a relief operation in the area crashed into a mountain with three crew aboard.
