U.N. Prepares to Set New Sanctions Against North Korea
(11 Jun 09 - RV) World powers moved closer to punishing North Korea with new sanctions
for its recent nuclear test. The draft U.N. Security Council resolution, aims to hit
the North's overseas finances and could be voted on by as early as tomorrow. We talked
to Asia spokesperson for the World Food Programme, Paul Risley, who says that the
sanctions are unlikely to affect international humanitarian aid, but the change in
political climate will make providing assistance difficult within the country.
