(06 June 09 - RV) Militants attacked a military convoy in northwest Pakistan today,
the latest episode in a surge of violence during an army offensive to drive the Taliban
from the region's Swat Valley.
The attack is the latest in a string of violent
incidents in the area.
We spoke to Liz O’Neill, head of communications for
Catholic Relief Services about what kind of aid is needed for civilian victims caught
in the ongoing fighting.
