(28 May 09 - RV) The current global economic crisis is an unfolding human rights crisis
which targets the poorest and most vulnerable peoples of our world. That’s the
alarm being raised by Amnesty International in its annual report released today. Noting
the close links between recession and repression in many countries Amnesty warns against
a rising tide of political insecurity, violence and xenophobia. We spoke to Claudio
